Terms of use – Setstack

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the Android app Setstack: Gym Workout Log ("Setstack", "the app") and the optional subscription and purchase Setstack Pro. The provider is Abd Alrahman El-Hamaoui, Freistädterstraße 8, 4040 Linz, Austria ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. The terms of Google Play also apply to downloads and purchases through Google Play.

2. The app

The core features of Setstack are free and can be used without an account. You may continue as a guest or sign in with Google; a guest account can later be linked to Google. Your workouts are stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device and your Google account secure.

We develop Setstack continuously and may change, add or remove features, provided that this is reasonable for you and the features you paid for remain available in substance for the paid period. Free features are provided as they are; we do not guarantee that the app is available at all times or free of errors.

3. Setstack Pro

Setstack Pro unlocks additional features, currently: cloud backup and sync across devices, advanced analytics, smart progression suggestions and plateau detection, a program library, advanced set types, a home-screen widget and Wear OS companion, body tracking, Health Connect export and optional AI features (workout summaries, sets typed in plain words and a training chat). Pro is offered as:

a monthly subscription (€2.99 per month),
a yearly subscription (€19.99 per year), or
a one-time lifetime purchase (€39.99).

Prices are in euros. Google Play shows the final price, including any applicable taxes, in your local currency before you confirm the purchase. The purchase contract is concluded through Google Play, and payment is processed by Google.

4. Subscriptions: renewal and cancellation

Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (month or year) for the same period and the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Cancellation: you can cancel at any time before the renewal date in the Google Play Store app under Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your Setstack account does not cancel a subscription.
After cancellation: Pro remains active until the end of the period already paid for. Free features and your local data remain available.
Price changes: Google Play informs you in advance about price changes to a running subscription and, where required, asks for your consent.

5. Lifetime purchase

The lifetime option is a one-time payment that unlocks Pro without renewal for as long as Setstack is offered and the Google account used for the purchase exists. It is tied to that Google account and can be restored on other devices signed in to the same Google account. If we ever discontinue Setstack, we will give reasonable notice in advance; your statutory rights remain unaffected.

6. Refunds and right of withdrawal

Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy. You can request a refund through Google Play; for help, contact us at the email address below.

As a consumer in the EU you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for contracts concluded at a distance. For digital content and digital services, this right may expire early once performance begins with your express consent and acknowledgement, as shown during the Google Play purchase. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected in all cases.

7. Health disclaimer

Setstack is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Information in the app, including progression suggestions, programs, analytics and estimated one-rep maxima (e1RM), is general information for tracking your training and is not a substitute for professional advice.

Strength training carries a risk of injury. Consult a doctor before starting a new training program, especially if you have health conditions, injuries or are pregnant. Use proper technique, use a spotter where appropriate, and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness or discomfort. You decide which weights and exercises you use.

8. Acceptable use

Use Setstack only for its intended purpose and in accordance with the law. Do not attempt to access other users' data, interfere with the app or its cloud services, or reverse engineer the app beyond what the law allows.

9. Account and termination

You can stop using Setstack at any time and delete your account in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account or as described on Delete your Setstack account. We may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, after a warning where reasonable. Paid periods are handled according to the law and the Google Play refund policy.

10. Warranty

For paid features, the statutory warranty rights for digital content and digital services apply (in Austria, in particular the Verbrauchergewährleistungsgesetz, VGG). Nothing in these terms limits these rights.

11. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for personal injury.
For slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability for slight negligence in the free features is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Mandatory statutory liability, including under the Austrian Product Liability Act (PHG), and your rights as a consumer remain unaffected.
Please keep your own backups, for example with the free CSV export. Liability for lost data is limited to the effort that would have been needed to restore it from a regular backup, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.

12. Rights in the app

The app, its design, texts and graphics are protected by copyright. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose. Your training data belongs to you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for valid reasons, for example due to new features or changes in the law. We will inform you of material changes in the app in good time before they take effect. Changes to the main obligations of a running paid contract require your consent.

14. Applicable law and disputes

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you have your habitual residence. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence or of our place of business.

We are not obliged and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, but we always try to resolve concerns directly: hello@abd-dev.at.

If any provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
